Why Weren’t We Prepared?

This disease on scientists’ drawing boards was labeled Disease X.

Here we are, August 2020, and the world has been engulfed in the Coronavirus, or as scientists liked to call it before COVID-19 struck: Disease X. Coronavirus has left almost 21 million people around the world infected and amounting a death toll of 760,000 (Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center).
